Fantasy-Faction are huge fans of both Mark Lawrence and Jason Chan – the artist who did the covers for Prince of Thorns through to Emperor of Thorns – so, when we heard they were to be reunited for Mark’s new trilogy, The Red Queen’s War we couldn’t wait to see what the result was.
Having seen the US cover and thinking it was pretty cool (I have to admit that I wasn’t blown away by it, but it was quite different and depicts the books story quite well, in the sense that the protagonist is purposefully unremarkable), I’m seriously impressed by the draft cover image that Mark and Voyager have released:
Fantasy-Faction will have a review of Prince of Fools up a couple of weeks before release… I can tell you that we very much enjoyed it though and Peat’s quote above (although not a real quote and just a placeholder) is pretty accurate 🙂

Having seen the US and UK covers over on Mark’s blog for the first time I actually prefer the US one. Similarities to the three Broken Empire covers I suppose.
