The Final Round of voting in the Fantasy category of The Goodreads Choice Awards, one of the most noteworthy and sales boosting awards for authors, has opened up to the public. Yes, as I said a few days ago, it tends to be a popularity contest where the author with the most fans and/or the biggest social media following takes it relatively easily, rather than the writer of the best book, but I do think that it’s important to take part and vote for your favourite book due to the fact that Goodreads reveal how many votes each book received; therefore making the placing and number of votes recieved worth as much to readers as the actual winners.
