Fantasy World – The Best SFF From The Web

As we all know, the internet is a brilliant place to find incredibly odd and wonderful things so I figured, hey, it’s Thursday, let’s round up all that fun and have a giggle. So I’ve trawled the far reaches of the world and present for your perusal some great things to improve your day.
Fancy reading a free chapter of the new Joe Abercrombie novel Red Country? Who would win between Power Rangers and zombies? Which is better, an Iron Throned Obama or a dancing Wolverine? And finally, who are those sexy gents with Iain M. Banks?

Enjoy.

US Election Fun

There are some brilliant memes coming out of the most recent US Presidential debate and BuzzFeed have them collected up here. The above two are my favourites for obvious reasons.

The Daylight War is coming!

Harper Voyager have a short but sweet piece on the cover shoot for the hugely anticipated next novel from Peter V. Brett, The Daylight War.

And Finally…

And finally, to play us out on this Thursday, I leave you with one of the only pictures that could possibly top Obama on the Iron Throne. One of these men is a singer, a dancer and from a strange faraway continent and the other man is Korean popstar. Yes, it’s Hugh ‘Wolverine’ Jackman and Psy doing Gangnam Style. By Paul Wiseall

One day, Paul Wiseall intends on growing up and getting a real job as a superhero or a dinosaur but for the moment, he is quite happy with this writing malarkey as it is far too much fun. He does have a degree in History but please don’t judge him too harshly as he really isn’t that boring. Honest. For those who are interested, he is a film buff, a chronic comic collector and inhales anything written by Neil Gaiman, China Mieville and Terry Pratchett. Paul tends to live in his head more than anywhere else but his tangible self can often be found frequenting coffee shops or living behind a laptop somewhere in Italy.

  1. I just checked out the free chapter of Red Country…Brilliant writing- you feel the hearts beating under the gritty, grungy exteriors of the characters. I’m a new fan of Joe A.!!!
