Grey Sister

Well, the cake and coffee and various other sweet things have run out. The seating is comfortable, but we’re getting a bit bored of being lazy now (I know… I thought it would never happen as well!). You’d have thought that during our capture, Harper Voyager would have provided us with Netflix or a PS4 or even… you know… some books. But we’re told that all the spare books were needed at WorldCon and the PS4 and Netflix would take away from the budget required to buy Queen Bardon’s Crown *sigh*

So we’ve started looking for escape routes again and have found something that looks pretty promising… with that in mind, tomorrow could be the last day of the Harper Voyager takeover…. but don’t worry, in addition to today’s awesome announcement, you should be extremely excited about tomorrow’s too…..

Anyway, shushhhh, Queen Bardon is about to speak:

If you loved Nevernight, An Ember in the Ashes or One Thousand and One Nights, The City of Brass will have you raving. Be prepared to be unable to talk about anything else.

City of Brass
S.A. Shakraborty
8th March 2018

Among the bustling markets of eighteenth century Cairo, the city’s outcasts eke out a living swindling rich Ottoman nobles and foreign invaders alike.

But alongside this new world the old stories linger. Tales of djinn and spirits. Of cities hidden among the swirling sands of the desert, full of enchantment, desire and riches. Where magic pours down every street, hanging in the air like dust.

Many wish their lives could be filled with such wonder, but not Nahri. She knows the trades she uses to get by are just tricks and sleights of hand: there’s nothing magical about them. She only wishes to one day leave Cairo, but as the saying goes…

Be careful what you wish for…

Don’t forget to retweet or share the social media thingy-majiggy that got you here 🙂
