The World Goes Robin Hobb Cover Crazy!

Over the last few weeks we been inundated with Robin Hobb covers! Evidently (and quite rightly!), the publishers are taking advantage of the fact Robin is returning to events facing her fans’ favourite characters.

Here are the new covers for the US paperback editions of The Liveship Traders Trilogy!

Of these covers, Robin said:

The cover art here is created by Didier Graffet. I was delighted when I first saw his images of the Farseers on the various covers he did for the Soleil graphic novels of The Farseer Trilogy. So I am delighted to now have his work on the US paperback covers.

The next trilogy of covers from Jackie Morris were released. This time the ones for the Tawny Man Trilogy that matched the earlier Farseer covers she designed. Check them out:

Then, the UK finally released their Fool’s Assassin cover (also by by Jackie Morris) which matches the ones we just saw above. Check it out:

It’s not just English fans who have been treated lately either. It seems Brazil have really been getting into their fantasy lately and the country have signed some fantastic names up for translation. Robin’s Farseer trilogy will hit Brazil in December 2014, but the covers are here already:

Robin didn’t say too much on these (except that she really liked them), but I feel that they match the somber tone of Hobb’s work and will speak to the correct readership. I think the word ‘Assassin’ in 2014 has you thinking of jumping around buildings and doing acrobatics (thanks Brent Weeks and Assassin’s Creed! :)), but that isn’t true of every Assassin.

But maybe you don’t pick up these paper things anymore… perhaps you are Kindle/e-Reader exclusive now? Well, there are covers coming out for you too. The books are going to get bundled in ebook format.

I have to admit, they aren’t quite as impressive as the printed books we’ve just seen, but they work, I guess 😛

  1. I hadn’t seen the new Liveship ones! Love them all, but I think the Jackie Morris ones are still my favourites.

    Also, Fool’s Assassin is AMAAAAAAAAAAZING.
