Batman if Square Enix got their hands on him…

There was recently a lot of talk about how Ben Affleck would look as Batman. Most people thought he’d probably just about pull off the look, but weren’t too sure about how his acting would hold up.

Anyway, we’re not talking movies today. Imagine, instead, if Square Enix had the money and desire to license a D.C. franchise. Wouldn’t that be cool? All our favourite comic book heroes could get Final Fantasy-ed and Kingdom Heart-ed up. Surely resulting in some spectacular and fantastical costume designs.

Well, turns out director of the two aforementioned games, Tetsuya Nomura, thought it would be pretty cool too. And, as a result, he has come up with a pretty amazing design of how Batman would look if he was to end up in one of his titles. Check this out:

The above image will actually become a figure, part of Square Enix’s DC Comics Variant Play Arts Kai line, which will feature a number of other DC characters in Nomura’s trademark style.

So, we’ve got some more of these to look forward to. Batman was always going to be first though, Nomura having mentioned in previous interviews that he has an admiration for Batman and that he is one of his favourite Western comic book characters.
