Mark Lawrence proves they do with an incredibly revealing behind the scenes glimpse on the effect being nominated for the ‘Goodsread Choice’ Award had on the number of people adding him to ‘to read’ on the day the nominees were announced. Pretty incredible, right?
Obviously we don’t see these kinds of stats very often and we may ask ourselves, what does it actually mean to be nominated for or even to win an award? Well, it seems that for an author it can lead to increased awareness and, therefore, some superb sales boosts leading to – I’d guess – a nice Christmas bonus? 🙂
