Vote Now for Fantasy-Faction’s Best SFF Books of 2021

Best of - swirl cloud by Jr Korpa (detail vote sm)

It’s that time of year again! Time to vote on the best books of 2021!

I decided to push this back, both because December is always crazy because of the various holidays and end of year preparations. But also, because I always felt bad for all the books that come out super close to the end of the year. So, I thought if we held off a month or so we could give everyone a chance to make the list.

Okay, rules for voting:

1. Book must have come out in 2021. No reprints or re-issues.

2. It must be fantasy or science fiction. (Horror that hits one of these two marks counts too.)

3. It can be any subgenre. (Excluding erotica.)

4. You can nominate up to five books.

5. If you do vote for more than one, _please_ put them in order from highest rated to lowest rated (according to you), so I can figure in scores when I finish the list.

6. Book must be novel length.

7. Book does _not_ have to be the first in the series.

8. Rule 4 and 6 are not set in stone. ?

9. Hope you all had a Happy New Year, and you get lots of reading done in 2022!

10. I wanted there to be ten rules. Please leave your votes in the comments (or you can comment in our Facebook group! Happy Voting!

  1. I only read one 2021 sci-fi/fantasy book this year, but it was great, so it gets my vote.

The Wisdom of Crowds (The Age of Madness #3) by Joe Abercrombie

    James

    1. The unbroken – C.L. Clark
    2. The bone ship’s wake – R.J. Barker

It seems that many I’ve read with a 2021 publication date, it’s actually ‘paperback publication date’, so I assume they’re not valid…

    3. Empire’s Ruin by Brian Staveley
