Dragon Age: Inquisition’s Lead Concept Artist draws Rothfuss’s Kvothe

Matt Rhodes, the Lead Concept Artist on Dragon Age: Inquisition, has digitally created a pretty damned awesome portrayal of Patrick Rothfuss’s Kvothe.

Matt explains: “Process wise, this was a self-inflicted exercise in patience. This image has been sitting in my head for months, but I’ve avoided it, knowing how much work would be required to do the city justice. I’m still on the fence as to whether or not this level of complexity helped or hindered. Something more abstracted/vague may have given me a better result, sooner.”

Certainly, we think this piece of Name of The Wind inspired art is awesome and it’s great that an artist with such a great reputation and high standing position in the world of video game entertainment is drawing attention to fantasy literature. What about you guys?
