...you see the thread on Fantasy Faction asking "Which Fantasy Author Did You Find Most Disappointing?" and your answer is, "Me, because I haven't been able to finish writing that damn trilogy yet!"

This!

Also I'm bowing down to you, because that properly made me laugh. Kudos ;)

You have strategically placed notepads all around your house, or once you have written 999 words.

...you actually use the cofee maker you own, you've cleaned the house, are a dab-hand at computer solitaire and regularly contribute to on-line forums! Just while you collate your thoughts, of course!

You cut your finger, almost faint, and go "well, now when a character nearly faints, it'll be easier to describe."

Er.

(My finger's fine. I just get a bit woozy at the sight of my own blood--good to know).

You know you're a writer when you've killed at least one keyboard or laptop over a duration of six months.

You know you're a writer when your blood type is 2% java beans.

You know you're a writer when you feel ashamed when doing typos or grammatical errors in public posts or tweets.

You know you're a writer when you dance around wearing nothing but a pink skirt... of f**k! Wrong thread.

you know you are a writer when you have a back-pack or satchle full of note books, other books, pens and pencils
or if you forget to eat of do math homework because you are writting
or when your biggest fear is that your pencil will break or your pen runs out of ink, or your computer dies or you run out of paper in the middle of a good thought

Heh, been there. Well, not literally. Blood doesn't bother me, mine or anyone else's. I think exposed bone might... *wince*

But yes, having a small analytical part of your mind always observing everything and filing it away for reference? That's a bit creepy. No wonder we're all a bit mad :)

On which note... when you see the most stunning sunset you remember and immediately think "I know where I can use that." (happened about six months ago)
