That link also included @OnlyOneHighlander's book (David Macpherson), also with great compliments (being compared to Pratchett, no less!)

I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy   ;D

But in all seriousness, it's very humbling to get through to the next round and I'll definitely be checking out some of the others from this group while taking breaks from my WIP

Congrats, David!
I always really love the cover to your book too; I was a little surprised it didn't get more attention in the cover contest.  :)

Yep. And it looks like I got put in the Fantasy-Faction pool again. It should be interesting because it's a different kind of book I entered this time. Empire of Chains was more of your traditional quest fantasy. Sunweaver is more along the lines of Sanderson.

It's a strong group I'm in, so it'll be a tough road for any of us.
@Ryan Mueller, another 5 have been cut and so far you're still in *fingers crossed*

Aaawwww @Ryan Mueller, they cut your book :(

Quite a good review, though, compared with some of the others, and reading the blurb for the first time, I found it really interesting (and cool cover!)

That's me out now too :-( Still, it's been a great ride and if I get my act together I'll be back next time.

FF chose its finalist, a book that I would never pick up myself...
Oh well.
At least it's got good descriptions of the others, of which at least 2 sound way better

Yeah, seeing some of the finalists, I can't help but feel a little robbed by being declared the best of my sub-group yet denied an opportunity to have another judge's review.  It's been fun, and I've gotten a lot out of the SPFBO, but I do grouse a bit that I wasn't accorded semi-finalist status.

Which book was it, @WilliamRay?
