If I am in the revision phase, can I count how many words I read?

Nah, you should already start your next book while revising  8)

lol, damn I guess you are right.  Does it get confusing having multiple stories going off at once in your head?

I was joking. I know some authors actually do this, but it's probably better to focus on one thing at a time. If you want to leave the story alone for a time to revise later, probably could start a new one from your Ideas file.

I should probably stop and revise, but the words just kept pouring in!

Don't stop!  Revise after you get to "The End".  Ride the wave.

Nah man! Or else I'd also count how many words I re-write and replace, and bust my daily scores  :P

362, precisely, between midnight and 1am, on the new topic for this month's contest. It lays down the situation and characters and the mood. I have an idea of the story in my mind but won't plot it, it comes out great, it's first person.
It's going to be a pleasure to write I think.

Wrote my entry for the writing contest over lunch break. No clue how many words but probably will re-read it tonight and say shit I posted that. Quantity over quality.  :P

1900 today.  I am counting total rewrites of chapters, although that might be flexing the rules a tad

Dammit, you guys really make me look like such an unappropriate small fry with your productivity. And what with half the time my work is handwritten and I can't tell how much I wrote!

3k for the NaNo story and the rest was for another story that I had the idea just as I was about to sleep yesterday. I even thought of writing it down by hand to not forget it, but I was too tired and was gonna take too long. Thankfully, I remembered it today. Most of it, anyway.

Brought my monthly story to about 700 words today, but I actually wrote more that 400, since I wrote everything by hand, re-worked sections by hand, adapted to computer, then did heavy editing, rewriting happily as the story took shape.
Pleased with my day. If I keep at it like that, then I'll be done with the main draft before I leave, and at leisure to edit in my hammock.
