I know the feeling, but sometimes deleting the right words - or, I guess, the wrong words - can make all the difference. You can start out in your next session without the weight of those words pressing on you.

Thanks for the encouragement. You're right. No use in wallowing in the past, letting it weigh me down. New day, new start, new adventure.

*stares guiltily at WIP* I should be revising more.

I can't say more other than it's a really big epic fantasy. Trying to keep it contained to force me to actually finish it to get to tell people.

I do also have Gumshoe Paladin which I should edit more, and I've got a new idea that isn't really turning into anything.

I'm supposed to be back at writing-work this week, because the kid's off to her "school-readiness" program, but the most I've managed to actually achieve is reading through the last few chapters of where I got up to in my draft-in-progress before I paused to revise something else. We'll see how I go with a little more discipline from the weekend on...

(I'm certainly looking forward to the actual school, but I'd like to have gone through this dragging-myself-back-to-the-work by then!)

I've been proof reading, "Dwarves and Rooks", AGAIN! But writing snippets on the title I can't spell, "Firebirds of Kiranithiaen" which comes later.
It's a hero-quest sort of tale but interspersed with Marion's mad obsessive business plan. She was  dreadfully broke by the end of "Jewels and Rooks".  I may have to re-write bits of it. "Goths and Rooks" is between "Dwarves and Rooks" and "Jewels and Rooks" and maybe just needs a final proof.

I'm of course mad giving a book a title that no-one can spell.
