And the beat goers on.
The crowd is still waiting to see what happens, but chants of "Lanko! Lanko!" are sprouting up spontaneously.
Pass the popcorn.  ;D

My writing on weekends tend to be... how can i say? Not like during the week. Had a great one or another, but they are rare exceptions.

During the week I have a limited time in which i can write, so I kinda focus on it. Or maybe Ray Bradbury is also right in saying there is some Zen aspect about it. I relax and enjoy it.

During the weekends I feel I have all the time in the world. So i do everything except writing. Or even reading. Even when i'm doing nothing useful to absolutely anything, I really procrastinate the maximum i can.
Then when i finally sit down to write, it's pretty much at the same time I do during the week. Most of the time not with the same energy level. Which seems a bit strange.

What about you guys?

For me, it's just an unpleasant fact that I have such limited time that isn't given to work, two chorus/choir groups and my wife that I can either read or write, but not both. I'm unable to get into any type of routine for writing.

I'll steal some time tomorrow before work and at lunch.

One of these days, I do need to create a routine.

One of those writing sessions where a side character seems more interesting than your protagonist. Hmm.

604 words for now, maybe more later with any luck. :)

One chapter and half. Enjoyed writing that chapter, got some insight of the culture of the setting, without planning it.

In a mad dash today, I finished a solid draft of my November story ("Leviathan" 1,500 words) and completed the second draft of my first longer short story ("The Black Book", a ghost story at 4,800 words).

I'll catch up on critiques for my writing group, then find my way back to another ghost story (Untitled so far). A horror anthology publisher in Massachusetts put out a call for books that take place in the local area of the Hockomock swamp there.  In October, I spent hours using Google maps and various web resources learning about the "Bridgewater Triangle" wherein many and assorted creepy things have crawled, flown, spooked, and killed. When contacted, the editor said he'd not gotten many (any?) submissions for such a narrowly focused concept, so he was holding the deadline wide open. I've no idea where that stands, but I like the idea I came up with. Now to just get back to it.

Lanko lives alone in this thread now!  ;D

I wrote some 300 words today - finalised - a rewrite of yesterday's 200ish. Wrapped my monthly story with that. Now onward with the serious stuff.  8)
