Sadly only 808 words today, but I stopped because I felt like I was pushing it without making sure I understood exactly how I wanted the scene to progress to get what I wanted conveyed, so I'll sleep on it and hit it tomorrow.

That's how I've been feeling with my main WIP lately!  I keep forging forward then feel a bit confused as to what I really need to do in this chapter. *sigh*  Letting it rest in the brain a bit did help, though.

Yesterday: approx 2k written.  I'm up to 18k on my WIP.  It's slowly taking shape. >_>

Well I was going to write last night, but all of my twitter buddies said I should go to the movies and spend time with my husband instead. ;)  So we went and saw Pirates 4, which in case you are interested was WAY better than 3. :) Anyway, I'm writing today whether my family likes it or not!  The scene currently in my head is driving me crazy!  It needs to be written down so it stops bothering me! :)

So far I did about 100 words, but that's just for now. I don't write a lot but what I write usually stays.

Well so far you beat me by like 10 words. :D But I'm hoping I'll get more done tonight.  To be fair though I did do some editing before I started writing, so I technically got more done than I think I did. ::)

That's what I do too. I have to reread what I already wrote to get an idea for where to go next. I was doing that earlier and got an idea for my latest blog post, which was 500+ words there. I was only thinking of my WIP when I said 100+. It's all writing but somehow I think of my books as real writing and not the blogs, or the tweets.

Blogs totally count towards word count!  Tweets...well, that I think is really a way to avoid writing.  At least that's one of the things I use twitter for. ;D

Yesterday/Saturday I failed to write anything *shame* but today I made up for it somewhat, and ended up writing 3031 words. Hoping to crack the 30k mark within a week or so, to really feel like I'm making progress.

I didn't write anything yesterday.  Or Saturday. >_>  Weekends are not very productive for me.  So, I need to make it up today (Memorial Day for us USA people, so everyone is home and a lot of businesses are closed, ugh, so loud here).

Today: 2437
Overall: 13859

Starting to make real headway. And if the Scenes continue at current length I'm looking at a book of roughly 120k words. More than I expected if it comes close to that, but I'm not complaining. :)

Yesterday I got 2000 words done... in type.  I have a ton handwritten that I did last night, which I still need to type, so we'll see.

My total I think is about to break 20,000 words, if I calculate right (I keep the current chapter on a different document than the whole book).

Managed 1545 today. Should have gotten more but I want to think about this next part of the scene more before I write it. The bit to come is going to set the stage for a great deal, this Pov character's first major turning point in the story, so I want to do it correctly.

Still not a bad day, though I'd like to have hit 2000.

Got a review done today.  Does that count towards word count? :)

Anything you're writing that's towards a project or goal counts. The point of this thread is to help people push themselves to meet goals, be it towards short stories, novels, poems, blog posts, or whatever.

Haven't written yet today though will likely update this post inline tonight when I get my writing done.
