@xiagan where are you in the story?
End of chapter two and struggling a bit. Have only my commute to read it, which doesn't make it easier. Not giving up, though!

Just getting to chapter 5.
The prose is such a slog, though the story remains interesting.

Well, I tried. Maybe I could have tried harder, but I've hit my limit now that I find myself trying to understand the plot without actually reading the text.

I really like the idea of reading along the whole thing with you guys, but I'm out.
I'll have to get back to Gardens of the Moon. Hey, it would fit with my first book in a series tour, wouldn't it!

Good to hear someone liked it! I'm just not as fast a reader as you Eclipse and I'm not finding a load of time to read at the moment, but I'll still be adding my thoughts as I go. You are not alone!

About 40 pages to go until I'm at our first break. I'm coming around to see what you meant, Doug, when you compared it to Malazan. The beginning was way harder for me but now it flows and is becoming more and more interesting. :)

How far are you, @Idlewilder? Did I accidentally overtake you?

@Idlewilder vanished into the fog!

Hey guys, I'm so sorry I started this whole thing and then fluffed off into the ether and left you to it! I think I only got maybe a third of the way through and then I got laid off from work and didn't really feel very much like reading or doing much of anything for quite a while. I'd like to get back into the book though as I was personally really enjoying it and have really fond memories of the Malazan reread. I think when I was still taking part in this everyone else was a bit unsure of it - did the book get better for any of you in the end?  :) ( @Eclipse @xiagan )

I loved it, I'm up to date on the series just waiting for next book.

It's the darkest series I've ever had the pleasure to read.

I'm glad it wasn't a waste of time then!  :) That's enough of an endorsement for me, Eclipse.
