Balticon 2013
« on: April 15, 2013, 03:00:49 PM »
Balticon 2013: The Maryland Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention is going to be May 24-27 this year. I'm going again this year. It was a blast last year! :)

Here's the website if you'd like to register to go: http://www.balticon.org/index.html
And here's my article on last year's con to get an idea of what it's like: http://fantasy-faction.com/2012/balticon-2012-review

Just as an FYI the con is not really in Baltimore, it's adjacent to Baltimore. So unless you want to take a taxi or you have someone who can pick you up, the train is not really an option to get there.

Had a great time at Balticon this weekend! Article to come soon. Also as an FYI next year's guest of honor will be Brandon Sanderson, in case any of you US East Coasters haven't had the opportunity to meet him yet. :)

I'm very tempted to go next year, if I can plan far enough ahead to get reasonably-priced flights. I've never visited the east coast of the US, plus Balticon is at a time of year when there aren't many UK conventions, which makes it doubly attractive!
