So a great evening I now have my pre release signed copy of The Thorn of Emberlain!

Well no but I do have a rucksack full of signed books though.
Elizabeth Bear, Emma Newman, Scott Lynch and Ed McDonald talking books and authory stuff.
Toppings is still a weird little bookshop which fits more stock in than it should be able, but has a friendly atmosphere and a good and interesting stock list.
They seated the authors on bar stools and the rest of us on fold up chairs so we could actually see what was going on. A big plus for the event.
The format was a conversation between the authors kept on track ably by Ed with questions thrown in by the audience. All the authors were attentive, charming and patient with the audience. As a bonus I got to chat with peter Newman about his new book The Deathless which comes out next month and it sounds as mad as the rest of his writing.

A fun evening but as I have to be up in the morning I will leave it at that. SRFC tomorrow night.
