Oh! I am blessed with my very own thread on these excellent forums! Thanks Rostum! :)
*whispers* forgot the 'h' there though.

The Traitor God will be unleashed upon an unsuspecting world June 07, 2018 in the UK and Commonwealth countries and June 05, 2018 in the US and Canada.

The Traitor God

A city threatened by unimaginable horrors must trust their most hated outcast, or lose everything, in this crushing epic fantasy debut.

After ten years on the run, dodging daemons and debt, reviled magus Edrin Walker returns home to avenge the brutal murder of his friend. Lynas had uncovered a terrible secret, something that threatened to devour the entire city. He tried to warn the Arcanum, the mageocracy who rule the city. He failed.

Lynas was skinned alive and Walker felt every cut. Now nothing will stop him from finding the murderer. Magi, mortals, daemons, and even the gods – Walker will burn them all if he has to.

After all, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s killed a god...

When can I expect to be able to buy this as a lowly, knuckle-dragging American? And in what modes will it be available? (Kindle, hardback, etc.)
I am so happy for you and my mind wanders to your success regularly. I hope it's a wonderful ride upward from here.

As far as I've been told, it's June 07, 2018 in the US and Canada for both paperback and ebook.
It's been incredibly exciting but also a real education I can tell you that! It does mean I can now better advise other writers about publishers and whatnot, which can only be a good thing :)

Is there a hard cover run or straight to paperback?

Best get practising your signature and thinking about the near compulsory doodle for your adoring fans.

Angry Robot don't tend to do hardback, but yes, signatures ahoy. No doodles though (unless I can come up with something cool), because I draw like crap.

Since @Bradley Darewood  enquired about the marketing side of things a new author in trade publishing goes through, I thought I would update here with what's happening with Angry Robot and The Traitor God.

The first step is to raise the authors profile and make people aware the book exists. That means organising blog posts, cover reveals and the like on various sites so their readership takes notice and hopefully generates interest, or even a buzz of anticipation. If I was self-publishing I would have no clue how to do this myself, but thankfully Penny at Angry Robot has been amazing and wonderful organising things for me.

The next step, ramping up to release is to release more blog posts, interviews, book reviews etc. Organise panel appearances at cons, a  launch event etc.

So far, we have:

The announcement via Fantasy Faction: http://fantasy-faction.com/2017/10-science-fiction-books-and-series-that-made-me-guest-blog-by-cameron-johnston

The cover reveal via Fantasy Hive: https://fantasy-hive.co.uk/2018/01/the-traitor-god-by-cameron-johnston-cover-reveal/

A blog post on Fantasy Hive, Love in the Age of Grimdark: https://fantasy-hive.co.uk/2018/01/love-in-the-age-of-grimdark-guest-post-by-cameron-johnston/

And a forthcoming podcast.

So far so good on getting it noticed :)  Of course, it probably helps a lot I know a number of other authors through cons and via Twitter.

It's managed to get the Traitor God appearing on a few Most Anticipated lists:

New York Public Library: https://www.nypl.org/blog/2018/01/22/most-anticipated-books-2018

Fantasy Hive https://fantasy-hive.co.uk/2018/01/most-anticipated-fantasy-books-of-2018/

Nonsense. I am self-centered, petty, and prideful. But I have good taste in books.  8)

ETA: Finally, after de-registering all my devices and a bunch of other baloney, Amazon let me pre-order. Looking forward to it, and as Lady Ty said, enjoying your journey and progress. Advise you to keep a journal for posterity, perhaps one day you can use it as the basis of a great "How to be an author" book.

So far so good on getting it noticed :)  Of course, it probably helps a lot I know a number of other authors through cons and via Twitter.

I'm trying my first book tour with my new release, through a place called RABT book tours. It was reasonably priced and has gotten me some mentions where I wouldn't have gotten them, and without any effort on my part (given my limited time, that's the biggest draw). However, I have no idea if it'll actually translate to more publicity or sales. Book tours seem to work well, but are primarily for mystery/romance (not SFF).

So, I'll let you know my impressions of how the book tour worked (or didn't) once it concludes in mid-March! It seems like it might be a great way to get additional eyes on your book, but we'll see.

I refuse to pre order i am holding out for a copy at launch where I will part with cold hard cash or more likely book tokens to get a copy signed. Assuming there is a signing south of Newcastle?
