Gollancz Writers' Day (London)
« on: October 10, 2018, 01:09:32 PM »
"Gollancz is thrilled to announce a one-day event for writers of SF, Fantasy and Horror. This year the event will be held in the headquarters of Hachette UK, Carmelite House.

Kicking off in the morning with tea and mingling and then a chance to meet the team at 10am on Friday 2nd November, the morning will feature an introduction to the life of a book from the Gollancz editorial team, and a ‘why, what and how’ guide to publicity, marketing and sales. Lunch will be provided, and the afternoon will feature bestselling authors Adam Roberts and Pat Cadigan (with potentially more to be confirmed) and agent Juliet Mushens. The authors and agent will be providing advice on all elements of the writer’s life and we will end the day with a series of small groups practising pitching their books to editors, authors and agent, before serving drinks at 6pm.

Tickets are priced at £80 for the day, including two tea/coffee breaks, a sandwich lunch and drinks. There are very limited places available."
