Title: SPFBO 2019 Open Now!
Post by: NedMarcus on June 15, 2019, 01:51:51 PM
For anyone with a first in a series fantasy novel or a standalone fantasy novel, you can enter it in the Self-Publishing Fantasy Blog Off NOW! 111 novels have been entered (as I write this) and when it gets to 300 it's closed for new entries.

It's run by Mark Lawrence and is a great chance for publicity for your novel.

I don't know if there's another post for this, but I can't see one, so I'll post this. I'm not entering this year. I entered last, and might enter next year, if it's still running.

Good luck!

Looking at the list as it stands on Mark's blog I think I only recognise Daniel Olesen - I'm pretty sure he's on the forum, but I'm not sure his name here...

The Fantasy-Faction review team has kicked off the process:

I don't think forum people are in their bunch.

It seems to be basically just facebook people, I wish that they had asked in the forum if anyone wanted to be a judge... @G_R_Matthews, maybe next year?

FF group has chosen their 3 favourite covers:

Although I really like 2 of their choices (and I think that's a first!), I'm afraid I fall into the group of "All but one of the judges was in awe of this cover’s transcendent artwork, and that judge is a soulless swine who doesn’t deserve to have nice things, so we don’t pay him any attention." - that cover is boring and has got a bird. Who wants to read stories about birds? ??? ;)
