recommendation: e-book cover artists

I looked for an existing thread for artist recs and didn't see one. I thought those of us who have had good experiences working with cover artists could post their work and contact info here, to help other writers?

Jessie Bennett created the cover for my first novel:

She does very detailed and polished work. I think her rates are in the $350-500+ range, depending on what you want: if you're working from a stock photo it will be lower than if you're asking for wholly original art (as I was). I paid her at the top end of that range, but she also threw in a couple of banner and button ads for me, for free. Her e-mail is ksiusia@gmail.com. I recommend her really highly, and the only drawback I can think of to mention is that she's not the fastest artist, so keep in touch with her about deadlines.

I would definitely recommend Mike Gauss then. He did my book covers (as well as my website banner - see signature), and I intend to hire him for the final part of my trilogy.

You can view more of his work on his blog or his DeviantArt page.

A friend of mine does some fantastic cover design (she also designed my blog's header because she's a sweetheart) and I would definitely recommend her. Her portfolio here links to details on pricing, examples, and even a run-through of her process.  :)

When I published my book I worked with the amazing Amy Houser, who's got this steampunk style that really spoke to me. You can check out her work here:

Take a look...you won't regret it.

I'd like to throw my own hat into the ring. This is one of the reasons I've been sort of absent lately—going through a life reorganization and looking forward to new opportunities. Besides editing the final draft of my novel, I've joined my wife's graphic design business.

We do ebook conversions and layouts, as well as book cover designs. Take a look at some of our pre-designed covers that are available. We're available for custom work as well.

I'd like to toss my name out there too if anyone is interested in a more comic/manga/cartoon style of cover art:

I did this cover a couple years ago: http://fav.me/d42d3fp

I would recommend Alexandros Korakis
“So, I guess our feelings aren't strong enough...”
“No, they aren't. Our feelings are usually stable. Our nature regarding emotions is simpler..."

"Andariasmeni, the buildings and her friends."
