Great New Fantasy Series
« on: July 12, 2015, 07:26:48 AM »
Hey, I'm new here. I'm a new fantasy writer. I'll be publishing my first chapter tomorrow on amazon. It's called the Black Heart Chapters.
About a demon, who loves a human girl. He'll have to fight the Devil if he wants to keep her alive. And she may never even know. It'll be a fantastic novel, a must- read. My pen name is R. M. Everhart.
The first chapter will be published on 7-12-2015.
I'll see if I can have the first chapter free for the first week, so you can try me, if I can figure out how to. This is my first time publishing, and I'm only sixteen, so I'm having trouble filling out everything. But the first chapter should be published tomorrow and I'll be publishing a chapter each week. The first one is short, but they'll be longer.
Best demon series you'll ever read.

Just out of curiosity, why are you publishing this a chapter at a time? Over the course of an entire novel, those chapters are going to add up, and so is the cost. After the free first chapter, what are you planning on pricing the others? Even at 99 cents, that's going to add up and cost much more than an entire novel in e-book form.

Conversely, if you wait until late in the book to start charging, you run the risk of losing reader interest by that time, in which case you won't make any money.

You mentioned that your sixteen and that you don't know a whole lot about publishing. Are you intending to treat this as a real job, or are you just putting something out there for a few dozen people to read? There's a lot that goes into effective self-publishing, and I wouldn't want you to start things off on the wrong foot.
