Funding via Patreon or Another?
« on: September 07, 2018, 01:35:54 AM »
Hi Everyone!

So, I am working on writing and creating my first Graphic Novel. Definitely a slow and uphill battle getting it done, as costs for artists and stuff are high @_@. Currently I have created a Patreon page in order to hopefully gain support and funding to help finish the overall project. Does anyone have ideas as to what sources of funding would help someone in my position? With very little funds to go off of?...

You can view what I have on my page thus far, as well as a synopsis of the story here: https://www.patreon.com/zenoc

I advise considering all potential funding sources. Patreon is the only crowd sourcing app I know of, but beyond such social media apps there are (potentially) other sources: grants & loans for writers, artists, etc.; grants and loans for businesses (looking at yourself as a business and potentially establishing one to garner said funding); non-profit/not-for-profit organizations whose missions align with you and/or your work...

That's all the ideas I have at the moment.

I see, I didn't consider grants or loans, especially a business loan. I'll have to see if such routes will work, including non-profit/no-for-profit organizations, I appreciate the suggestions!
