Hullo guys,

following this months book club read "Gardens of the Moon" I'd like to read the second volume, Deadhouse Gates, with you. Sometime in February preferably. :)

As it happens there is a (mildly spoilerific) new review on FF: http://fantasy-faction.com/2014/deadhouse-gates-by-steven-erikson

Deadhouse gates will follow the plotline of Kalam, Apsalar (Sorry), Fiddler and Crockus on their way into the empire.

Oi! Not sure what my February is going to shape up to be like. If it turns out I have time, I'd like to continue with a group like this! But, since I can't commit, I will tentatively watch from the sidelines and join in if I happen to be able to. :)

I'd love to do this. Deadhouse Gates is challenging in a completely different way to Gardens of the Moon and I'd love to get more than halfway through it this time!

OK, this looks to be our first (hopefully) successful attempt at getting a read along going. I created a child board for everyone to use as they see fit.  ;D

For people who've read this book, I've got a question, though.
Spoiler for Hiden:
Why does Kalam gave up so easily on assasinating Empress Laseen? She was just talking for a bit and he gave up on killing her? Are there any ulterior reasons for this?
