Ice trolls have been causing me all sorts of trouble too... it seems I can kill a dragon easily enough, but a cheesed off Ice Troll or a surprise Frost Spider? Doom.

Got this for Christmas, but couldn't actually start playing it until the day after Boxing Day... now of course I'm horribly addicted and mourning the fact that I'm back to the usual routine tomorrow and will have little time to play.  :(

I was a huge (possibly, let's face it, obsessed) fan of Dragon Age: Origins, and while I don't quite love Skyrim like I loved that (it needs more jokes and more romance) it's like a hyper detailed older cousin. Brilliant stuff.

Oh hi Anne, lovely to see you!  ;D

Well, I hope you enjoy it should you get round to it eventually (naughty ipad!). I take it the writing is going well? My Big Writing Schedule starts again tomorrow, eeep.

Small Press & Self-Published / The Copper Promise: A fantasy novella serial
« on: December 31, 2011, 08:32:12 PM »

Hello everyone! Thought I'd mention my little book on here; it came out last week on Amazon. It's a piece of old school pulp fantasy, featuring swords, peril and mead.  ;D You can pick up a copy for your kindle (or computer/phone that thinks it's a kindle) here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Copper-Promise-Ghosts-Citadel-ebook/dp/B006OMPZM6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324510544&sr=8-1

The Copper Promise Part 1: Ghosts of the Citadel

The Citadel of Creos: silent, forbidden, haunted. No person in their right mind would attempt to explore it, but then, as Wydrin was fond of saying, adventurers are rarely in their right mind, especially when large amounts of coin are involved.

For the young Lord Frith, the secrets within are his key to a bloody revenge; for Sebastian, exiled from his order for crimes he’d rather not talk about, thank you very much, it is a distraction from his recent disgrace. And Wydrin? For Wydrin it means fortune and fame, or at least the seeds of a good story she can embellish later.

But something ancient and hungry lies restless in the hidden depths of the Citadel, and the long years of its imprisonment are nearly at an end. The three adventurers are about to find out that ghosts are the least of their problems.

The first in a four part novella series, The Copper Promise: Ghosts of the Citadel is a sword and sorcery adventure full of danger, discovery, and dubious ale.

Here be my blog!

It's largely about writing, but gaming and animation are my other favourite topics, and there's the odd free short story too.  ;D

Ooo, if you haven't read Lies of Locke Lamora yet then you're in for a treat- brilliant romp of a book. If you like "noir fantasy" in the Abercrombie sense, then I highly recommend The Steel Remains by Richard Morgan; I'm reading it at the moment and it's a dark, funny read.

Hello all!

My name is Jen, and I'm a fantasy writer from London.  ;D Lovely to be here!

Reading wise I love Terry Pratchett, George R.R Martin, Neil Gaiman, Bernard Cornwell, and, gawd, loads of others. I'm reading The Steel Remains at the moment and loving it.

Looking forward to talking to you all soon!
