General Discussion / Re: What music do you like?
« on: March 16, 2011, 01:11:11 PM »
It would be easier to state which music I don't like! Barring a few notable pieces I cannot listen to classical music; not enough bass :)

I'm on last.fm as 'nilling'

Nilling, you must read the book. Quick and easy to read but quite enjoyable :)

Name please? I saw it briefly on the closing credits.

I am really taking a liking to Glokta and his inner thoughts. Not connected with Jezel yet, too lazy.

I am Number Four

Didn't know much about this film when I saw it the other week and I really enjoyed it :) though I was rooting for the bad guys ;)

Fantasy Book & Author Discussion / Re: Do you read books that suck?

Still remember my first DNF: The Devils Alternative - Frederick Forsyth.

When I was youger I would read an authors entire collection and so it was with Forsyth. This was my third book in and it was a holiday read. Anyhow I got to to about 20 pages from the end when my frustration with the inevitable ending made me just put it down. I've tried to put books to one-side thinking I may pick it back up later, but I never have.

IMO I read for enjoyment and time/money is a finite resource. I've also left films and gigs early because I've had enough.

My last DNF was Snow Crash - Neal Stephenson and that's why it's in the Book Market ;)
