I'm currently reading Gideon the Ninth and I'm enjoying it so much I may even jump straight into Harrow afterwards.

Many congratulations!

My writing adventures seem to have consisted of the Not Having Any variety for a long time. Got mentioned on a blog about Top 5 Portal stories alongside Alex. E. Harrow a little while ago, which was nice. But that's about it.

Nice one.

My adventures in writing have basically been 'Aaah, I don't think I can do this well so I won't' for a long time. Need to put some concerted effort into just putting the words down.

I like both.

Kindle Voyage is brilliant for reading in bed due to the adaptive light. I bounce between physical copies and ebooks, generally picking up Big Fantasy Tomes on Kindle for the sake of convenience.

I do miss the cover art though.

The Poppy War.

A very good start. Can't wait to see what all the hype has been about!

The Guardian were pretty damning, I think? Will give it a try at some point.

The Hod King.

Such a different series and I love it so much. Bancroft's voice is a delight.

Middle England by Jonothan Coe. Not sure when the Hobbits are supposed to turn up. It's largely been set in Birmingham so far, which is as quintessentially unShire-like as you can imagine.

Hmm.

Really looking forward to the sequel at the moment. The book has stayed with me.

That's all.

Am I active? At times! Only have short stories to my name as things stand... But maybe I'll finish a book in 2019...

Maybe!
