Which is the one where Hermione socks Draco? The third one, Prisoner of Azkaban.
I think Mistborn could be good too... It would have to be done right and with a HUGE budget - like Lord of The Rings style budget, but it could certainly work... I actually got the impression when reading it that it had been written for media. Not sure if that is just Sanderson's style or if perhaps it was, but yeah - that would be awesome!I agree. I think Mistborn would be a great movie, and I would definitely go see it in theaters if it was done correctly.
I wouldn't really count Harry Potter as a children's book.I agree. As the series progressed simplistic ideals such as good vs. evil as a black and white affair was challenged as JK Rowling gave an in-depth look at Voldemort and his past. Understanding the antagonist was a big step in the maturing of the series, I believe.
The first one maybe but from then on, the series rapidly grew in maturity to where they could appeal to anyone. I'd class them more as a Fantasy Book for all ages, I mean I know kids who love Harry Potter (My 10 year old cousin especially) and folks in their 40's who love them (Like my college lecturer)
I personally think Warbreaker is his weakest effort, but that's not to say it's not good- far from it actually- it's a great book. He has just set the bar so high with his other exceptional work. I would recommend Elantris and Mistborn to new Sanderson readers. It will help them appreciate Warbreaker more.I have to strongly disagree with you, I love Warbreaker. You say that it's his weakest effort, and I'm wondering why you say that.
