Non-Fantasy Books / Abundance- The Future is Better than You Think

This excellent non-fiction book by Peter Diamandis and Steven Kotler is an ulifting look at the future and how our exponential technological progress has the potential to cure most of the world's deepest and most threatening problems.  I highly recommend it; so highly that I couldn't help but post this thread.

Has anybody else read it?

General Discussion / Interest in creating a #fantasy-faction IRC channel?

Wasn't sure where to put this so I plopped it in here.

This is a question to both the community at large and the administrators in particular.  What would you guys think about creating an IRC (internet-relay chat) channel.  That way we as a community could have a place to meet for any events that need to happen in real-time (for example, Roleplaying gaming sessions).  I would suggest a bigger service like Mibbit.

I could have just created a channel but I thought that asking for would be more appropriate; if the owners of this site are interested than one of them should probably be admin.

Fantasy-Faction's 2013 Anthology / Will Alternate History or Science Fiction submissions be accepted?

I have a few alternate history and science fiction projects running, one of which I may select for this writing contest.  However, are those two genres considered fantasy for the purposes of this contest?
