Sci-Fi, Horror, YA & Urban Fantasy Books / Starcraft

Hi, I'm wondering if the Starcraft books are any good. I've not played the games and don't plan to either (not a PC gamer) but the universe looks interesting. Since the game is a RTS game though I'm assuming most of the story takes place in cutscenes so I wouldn't need to play the game to get the story so can anyone tell me if the books are any good and if so, which are the best to begin with?

Hi, I'm looking into reading more Sci fi books and I'd like to know what are some of the better books or series to start with.
I think it'll be more space opera sci fi that I'd be into since the sci fi I tend to like more in other media fits into that category such as Star Wars, Mass Effect (I've read the Mass Effect books too).
Could anyone recommend any good places to start?

Has anyone read the (I assume it's new) book which Pratchett co-wrote called The Long Earth? I'm wondering if it's any good.

Fantasy Book & Author Discussion / Book recommendations?

I'm going to be buying Way of kings part two and Elantris tomorrow as well as another book which I haven't decided on yet and I'm hoping that someone here can help me.
I'm currently considering Green Rider by Kristen Britain or the stormcaller, would anyone recommend either of these books as a good read?
