Just curious...has anyone started watching The Wil Wheaton Project on Syfy?  I think 2 episodes have aired and I think it's pretty hilarious.  It's super nerdy and my husband can't stand it...but it had me giggling and snorting the whole way through.

Writers' Corner / Proper use of exposition

Hey writers...Do you think it is okay to use exposition to move a story along?  I am wondering, as I have necessary information that I need to communicate to the reader (there is a time lapse of about 3-4 days between chapters and things happen during that time that give the forthcoming action context), but actually “showing” it would add at least 20 pages and (I think) slow the story down.  I start my chapter off with about a page of exposition, while my main character is brushing her hair…so the thoughts are in her head, not just a random author insert.  Curious about your thoughts on this…my writer’s circle tends to HATE exposition, but we have to use it sometimes…right???  Thanks!
