Mystery and thrillers mostly. And recently, sci fi.

Brent Weeks inspired me to write Fantasy but Matthew Reilly (not a fantasy writer) inspired me to start writing. Tolkien inspired me to read Fantasy.

Don't have problems with unlimited magic and unrealistic fighting. This is, after all, fantasy.

What I do hate though, is too much realism. An anchor (like physics or culture etc.) to the real world is okay, but too much of it irritates me.

Just finished Tome of the Undergates. It was an enjoyable read.

I'm reading Haruki Murakami's The Wind Up Bird Chronicle part 1 La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie) right now.

Had to put down The Black Prism for awhile... something about the middle of the novel bored the hell out of me. Or maybe it's just me.

Anyway, I'm reading Sam Sykes' Tome of the Undergates right now. Am still enjoying it and the 200 pages of fighting on ship wasn't so bad.

Taking part as well this year. I already have my story plotted out. But I am busy with work as well, so will need to see how it goes.

I usually go for the Title, Cover and Blurb, in that order if I'm at a book store with no access to the internet.

At home, I'd read reviews from several random reviewers and then decide whether to buy the book or not.

The Book Depository/Amazon most of the time.

The local book stores here does not carry a decent enough inventory to satisfy my craving.
