Hi all,

My horror/thriller DARK WATER: BEAMING SMILE is now out at Smashwords and Amazon. This is a novelette, around 8,100K words, so it's basically a long short story. I am thinking of making this one a series, and write several sequels to it. Why? Because I like the characters and I am very proud of it.

Check out this great press release from the publisher Hellfire Publishing.

Synopsis of Dark Water: Beaming Smile

Sarah should have left Montgomery County when she had the chance, but now it's too late. She is trapped on the rooftop of her family home which is almost completely submerged by dark flood waters. The air smells of a mixture of sewage and mold and it’s still raining. Alone with only her thoughts Sarah is mad she did not leave town years ago when she was right out of high school, before she became the one things she dreaded most; her mother.

Haunted by the reoccurrence of an eerie thumping sound, Sarah is startled when she discovers a large hairy animal, almost the size of a cow, brushing against the corner of her house. What is it? Where did it come from? What other horrors are hiding in the dark water?

Hope you read and enjoy it. Feel free to leave reviews on Amazon or Good Reads and email me.

Thanks!

Hi all,

I'm back! I was super busy this summer. My 2011 goal was to write 3 books and I am getting really close. One done. Two almost done. I was slowed down some this summer when I was working on editing BLOOD DIVIDED, book two in the Soul Born Saga... BUT I did just finish writing a new book that I started earlier this year. For those interested, it took roughly seven months, with some interruptions and the break to edit.

Regardless, I just completed it! So that moves my score up to 4 books written (3 of them are over 100K words). This new book I call a fanta-horro-thriller. It's set in the Viking Age. I just shipped it to my editor. I hope to shop it around later this winter.

But-yeah... I'm just coming up for a breath of air. I was like... man I need to check in with the Fantasy Faction forums. I miss reading them, replying to them and occasionally posting too! I need to start writing some new articles this month too.

I would ask, hey... what did I miss?... but luckily I kept up with the twitter remarks so I know the basics. :)

Hope all are well.

I think its a great idea. And I would love to contribute. I was in a crew that almost made a magazine before "Cryptopedia Magazine". I did about 40 pieces of art... never used. Never happened. Oh well. Good art experience.

Hey all,

If you are a Fantasy Faction forum member and have a Kindle than I got a free copy of SOUL BORN for you. I will send 15 copies of Soul Born as gifts, one each to the first 15 people who PM me here on the forums. All you need to do is send me the email account I should gift the book to and I will send it out. I will probably be sending the gift copies tomorrow, so expect to see them then.

Thanks all!  Hope you enjoy the book. It was reviewed here by Marc! http://fantasy-faction.com/2011/soul-born-review

Playing Dungeons and Dragons, back in elementary school in the early 80s, got me into Fantasy. I actually wrote a funny guest post about it almost a year ago. Here is the link.

I have a few guest posts here too, that talk about things that lead to me being a lover of all things fantasy.

Best place is Goodreads I think. Facebook and twitter are good too.

We should all work together to help support one another. I for one can always use more TAGS in amazon.com. If you have works up on Amazon you should know what I mean. Tagging can help your book a lot. Also if anyone needs anything, tags, cover quotes, likes, retweets... etc.. please email me and I will do it. Email me through my site or twitter... whatever.

Thanks!
