Re: [May 2016] - Well known fairy tales from a different POV - Discussion Thread
Can't wait for someone do a version of Princess and the Pea from the Pea's POV - "I see your fat ass coming towards me, blocking out the sun, what about my good night's rest? I miss my pod"

etc

 ::)

Awesome! Do it! use the words "Arse demon" in it!!

Started mine this morning. Somehow it's ending up with the same title as a long-running U.S. sitcom.  :o

dude -- the simpsons is not a fairy tale.  nor is seinfeld.

Re: Introductory Thread: Who's Reading With Us?
If you drop me a PM with an email address and your preferred format... I send it over to you.

but if we did that, how would we support the author?  why don't you care about the author, man?!  handing out free copies like you wrote it or something!

but seriously, since it's kindle unlimited, i'm good!

p.s.  i can already tell i'm gonna have fun reading books with a direct line of communication to the authors.  SO EXCITED!  #PleaseDontHateMe

p.p.s.  yup -- i totally just dropped a hashtag in a post.  #rebel

Favorite Quotes Yes, I know this is the June book club, but of course I've started now.

Here is a cool quote from the first few pages:

Quote
A change, when it comes, will step lightly before it kicks like thunder.

@G_R_Matthews, is this a quote from existing teachings that you have adapted for use here, or something of your own? For me, this is a perfect foreshadowing for an epic tale.

Re: Introductory Thread: Who's Reading With Us? It's May 29, and about time to get started.
Here's a quick roll call of those who'd said they're in.

@ScarletBea
@Peat
@G_R_Matthews
@m3mnoch
@Eclipse
@Raptori?
@Sarene
@justan henner
@observantraven
@Eli_Freysson
@Lanko
@tebakutis
@JRTroughton
@SJBudd
@Delaney
@victoria hooper

If we get half you good people, I'll be delighted.
If we don't, I will track all of you down and force-feed torn up shreds of paperback books until you're praying I chose Alice in Wonderland instead of all 1,285 pages of Winds of Winter, and then I'll --

--we interrupt this tirade with calming images --

-- be very grateful for all who participate.

Let the reading begin!
