Re: The King's Paws *pokes head in* Well hi, I've not been around here in a while. Thought I'd see how everyone's doing! :D

Re: The King's Paws
I seem to be losing the will to live with a new member... maybe I could simply stay away from his posts, but I tend to read everything...
I'm really impatient with people at the moment, including at work :-\

Thanks for remembering me! :-[

I'm a bit like that right now, too. *hug*

Re: The King's Paws Oh my god I think I remember Devildare. There was definitely one poster I consistently wanted to bash my face against the desk whenever they posted..

Re: What are you currently reading?
Finished Tomorrow the Killing, but will have to wait for She who Waits as I can't extract it from the kindle lending library. It's a dark and ugly read. I thoroughly recommend it.

From now on, you will be known as "He who waits" *ducks*

Dragons! And polar bears, snow leopards, stoats, cats, leopards, little birds, foxes, flamingos.

Re: The King's Paws Chocolate, realistic makeup expectations, and charity shop loot.. Perfect! :D

I sometimes wear makeup. Very rarely, though. And not to the extent many people do.. When I do, it's for me. Usually I don't see the point. My face is my face.

Re: What are you currently watching? The Fox TV channel also has the issue of being Sky-only (I believe?) which is stupid expensive. It's always down to money and licensing.

Re: What are you currently playing?
I have been enjoying Shadow of Mordor recently. I'm glad that I bought it on sale, as I think that the main story is a bit short, but the gameplay is fun. The liberties taken with the lore would make poor old Tolkien claw out his eyeballs - if he hadn't done so already after watching Peter Jackson's adaptations, but at least they made it sound somewhat believable in the context that we're presented with, so that's okay. The cutscenes of Celebrimbor forging the ring, and how Sauron deceived him, were definetly the best part  :)

Oh that's a great game if you play it in the knowledge that it is not "canon". The creative liberties work wonderfully, though, and it's .. gorgeous isn't the right word, but it looks good. ;) And the gameplay is good. I was just awful at it and blamed my at-the-time graphics card and lack of RAM. Haven't been back since upgrading because MMOs. Nuff said?

Re: The King's Paws (with one holding a bottle of Peri Peri sauce.) Happy new year from an oldie. :D
Poking my head in because I'm determined to get back my reading mojo this year, it's been too long. >:( Of course, gotta check in with my favourite group of fantasy fiends.

Re: What are you currently reading? I finally finished reading The Lies of Locke Lamora! I have technically been reading this book since er.. 2013. Whoops. :p But hey, I'm one book less behind. Loved it to bits and picked up Red Seas Under Red Skies right away, because of course I already have books 2 and 3. Loved the story and the writing style.
