Hello. Hi All,

30 y/o British bloke, enjoy reading/writing sci-fi/fantasy humour.  Pratchett, Adams, Hornby are my favourite authors.

Registered for the competitions/writing prompts, will stay for the community.

I blow hot/cold with writing. I usually revisit it when I'm in a bad way mentally so that's telling quite a lot.

Re: Book-hoarders Anonymous - display your wares I'm a minimalist, so I live with as few things as possible.  A task made infinitely difficult with three children.

So I own a kindle, and I allow the kids to own paperback books of which they have hundreds.  Mostly Roald Dahl (the boys are 5, and the daughter isn't even 1. All her books are waterproof/made from felt/generally rubbish)

Re: What are you currently playing? I have a 360 & Wii.

Wii: Mario Kart, exclusively.  Do I let my 5 year old twins beat me? No. Does that cause tears? Yes. Do I care? NO OF COURSE NOT I AM THE MARIO KART CHAMPION YOU LOSERS!

360: I got LA Noire at Christmas, but as mentioned: I have kids. So I'm still playing that about once a month for about 45 minutes.  I'm enjoying it, though.

The boys just bought Minecraft on Saturday with their pocket money, so I might give that a bash tonight whilst the missus is out, the kids are at their mum/grandma's, and have a few beers.

Why not, It's Patty's day!

"Can you redraw this logo?"
"Yes, £25.00." (which I see £0.00 of)

(Freelance)
"Can you redraw this logo?"
"Yes, £200." (I see 100% of it)

Ooh, can I play? I'm new, hello!

This is my reading nook/bar and it makes me happier than most things. :)

With respect, less pictures of the books and more of the bar.  What Ale do you have? Is it draught or beer? is it SESSION?

Re: Your favorite things about Skyrim! Oh good, I've just seen this Skyrim thread and now I'm going to lose about 2 more months of my life playing Skyrim.

Well done everyone.

Re: Special venting thread for people who hate their day job Yes, these things take time.  With an old business of mine (domestic cleaning) it took off pretty quickly, but that was B2C rather than B2B which I'm finding to be a harder nut to crack.

(and yes, my hatred for you was complimentary.)

Hah! Tell me, is Bury market as magical a place as my aunt is always telling me it is? ;D

It's about as magical as BarAqua.

(ie you can't move, someone spills a drink on you, and if you DO pull someone, she's usually your grandma's age.)

They literally do coach trips to Bury market though, and I've no idea why - it's just the same as Wigan's! I noticed a row of about ten coaches just the other day and I asked the missus... She told me it's a tourist attraction. Christ knows why.
