Re: What is Urban Fantasy to you? I always stayed away from urban fantasy because I was blurring the lines between UF and PR (and science fiction- time travel always screws me up).

Reading through this thread and my own understanding has allowed me to form this opinion- urban fantasy is set in modern (or modern-ish times) where elements of fantasy are introduced. I have to keep it vague for myself because I'm noticing more and more that genre is becoming less and less important as books are borrowing elements of other genres. Genre mixing has always occurred, of course, but the more modern stuff I read, the more I notice that it's happening in a much bigger way, likely to read wider audiences. Which is pretty smart thinking.

But painful for people who especially hate romance (the easiest to bleed into unrelated stories).

Re: Depression is a bitch... from a friend I've only spent a short time on here, but I think that this is my favorite thread. This was a wonderful read and those comics are something amazing. I might start a mental illness board on Pinterest, if only to keep such things because they did give me strength.

Usually, when someone asks, "How are you?" I repeat it back to them. Most people carry on blissfully and I've learned that the ones who aren't just asking on automation will say something like, "Fine, but how are you?" I've even gotten someone to open up to me about the hard time they were having... not that it was my intention. But just as people usually don't see me going through a hard time, I didn't even consider that this person was struggling.

@ScarletBea hugs are all I can offer, love! Hugs and to say, that I can understand what you're going through. I've been there. It's probably only a matter of time before I go back. But I will get through it. And we're here to help you.

Re: Bad Lip Reading & Honest Trailers
The Walking Dead ones from Bad Lip Reading were great, especially the Governor's song.  ;D

But yeah, both are very enjoyable at times.

I know this topic is kind of old but The Governor's song is constantly in my head. I walk in to work thinking, "We're on Broadway! La-bibbi-di-bibbi-di-dum!"
