Re: Fantasy-Faction Grim Gathering: April 10th. F-F Big Breakfast: April 11th. It looks like it was a lot of fun! I've been looking at the photos on twitter .... I'd love to go come down to one of these, one year soon! =)

Re: Hoopla! Choose my next recorded book Gone with Abercrombie and Miller - variety is the spice of life after all, and I've enjoyed all Abercrombie books and Canticle!

Re: Depression is a bitch... from a friend My quite significant experiences with depression are not something I like to discuss (the only people I've ever discussed things with are medical professionals and my wife), but I think it's great that some of you have used this as a means of 'airing' your views/thoughts/advice/feelings ... the internet can be a wonderful place sometimes  :)

Re: What are you currently reading? I just read Vicious by VE Schwab. Absolutely stunning book, couldn't put it down. Going to be moving straight onto her most recent one, A Darker Shade of Magic.

What are you currently reading? 100 pages left in the Ketty Jay series, and suffice to say barring a disaster of an ending, this has become one of my favourite fantasy series. It's just gotten better and better and better as its progressed.

Re: What are you currently reading? I started The Steel Remains by Richard Morgan, and gave up after 100 pages.  Really disliked the writing style, the mood and the characters.  I had similar feelings towards Altered Carbon (although I got to the end of that), so maybe I'm just not compatible with Richard Morgan!?  The noir influence does absolutely nothing for me whatsoever.

I hate it when I don't enjoy a book which I really want to like !!

What are you currently reading? Finished off Steel, Blood & Fire by Allan Batchelder this morning. I adored it.

Started reading the latest in the Rogues of the Republic series by Patrick Weekes, The Paladin Caper. Great to be back with this set of characters
