Re: What are you currently reading? I'm about halfway through Assassin's Apprentice, why did I wait so long to read this?

Re: Miscellaneous Musings
Wow you're even worse than me ;D I usually also have a few tabs open, but it's only one for each site hehe
Yeah I open all the unread posts at once, each in their own tab. Far more efficient that way...
I do the same. :)

All the no's in the world.   I have to do one at a time to keep up with the conversation.   I wonder if their is a correlation between multiple tabs of the same site & reading multiple books at once (which I cannot do).

Re: What are you currently reading? I'm in the middle of The Lions of Al-Rassan which is my first GGK novel and loving it so far.   Behind that this week my copies of Firefight, Golden Son, Royal Assassin, and Assassin's Quest all came at the same time rather unexpectedly so I have so reading to do.

Re: March Reads - Come share your list and thoughts for this months books.
I just started Royal Assassin yesterday and I'm still licking myself for waiting so long to read these.
I know this is a Fantasy site, but...   :o

Nothing to see here, nope not at all.

Re: Voting
I'll say this, for all that's worth (prob not much): I really hate spelling and grammar errors. So unless the plot/idea is top notch, stories with errors go straight down in my scale :-\

You mean I can't lick myself anymore?

Re: Fantasy Novel Maps
Meanwhile, as a writer, I can't do without it for my "big" WIP. Though the proof of any value there is probably two years away  ;D

As a reader I don't really care about maps, I never look at them.   However I can see as a writer that even a rudimentary one you do just for yourself would be an invaluable tool.

Re: Your next 5 books....
1) Royal Assassin
2) Assassin's Quest
3) Firefight
4) GGK Novel (not sure which one yet,  suggestions welcome)
5) Ship of Magic

1-3 are sure things, 4 & 5 could change.

Guy Gavriel Kay

I would highly recommend Under Heaven - alternative Chinese history, one of my favourite books ever (if you haven't read it already, of course)  ;D

The Lions of Al-Rassan is the only one I've read so far and I loved it so I'm going to start going through his other books now.   Thanks for the recommendation, I'll put it next on the list.

Re: KJ Parker to serialize new novel
Personally, I'd probably rather read it all in shot, but am curious about it.

That would be my holdup, I wouldn't want to read a bit and then have to wait until the next month to read the next little bit.  I feel like doing it that way would take me in and out of the world too much and I would lose some connection to it.

As for the prices, I've stopped complaining about ebook prices.  The cheap Kindle books are typically the books I don't want to read anyways (aside from sales of course).

Re: Miscellaneous Musings Going through books is the best way to unintentionally waste time.   It has felt like every book I have touched I have to read a chapter or two (or more)  before I can sort it.   It especially seems so with the books I plan on giving away as this will probably be the last time I get to read them.
