Interesting. Magicians is among the first series (but probably not the first) I plan to read next year. Deadline is Feb, 8th, though, which seems pretty short to start from zero.

Anyway...

Coincidence that there's been talk of ghostwriting lately? Methinks not!

What about ghostsubmitting?

50% for me, 50% for you?  ::)

My story's up, if anyone is interested in reading it! (and has a Wattpad login).

If you do read it and see anything horribly egregious before February 8, let me know and I'll fix!

That was very well written.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Nothing jumped out at me as being wrong initially, though I'll reread it later with a more technical eye (I had meant to do it the first time, but got caught up in the story, so good job on that!)

Tebakutis, just a question for you.  I've reread your story a few times, and I was thinking this paragraph would make better sense as:

Quote
Replacing Josh with Penny would provide Alice the perfect rebound, ensuring everyone came to Fillory hating each other.

It's a small change, possibly nitpicking, but just my thought.

Good point! Your version does read better, I think. Thanks :)

Tebakutis, I'm assuming that you can edit your entry off you desire, based on you asking for any issues?

Edit: I'm asking because I finished my first draft of the story, but it's based solely on the book, so it's better than nothing, but I want to try and watch at least some of the show and adjust things, but I'd hate to submit it and be stuck with it.

Yes, Wattpad allows you to edit any of the stories you post at any time, I believe. I've never entered a contest on there, so I'm not sure if they lock the story after it's submitted (it's possible they do that) but I have already made two small tweaks to my story, so at least up until the February 8 deadline, it seems people can edit on Wattpad without issues!

Tebakutis, does Wattpad prohibit you from copying and pasting your story into it?  I drafted my story in Word, and nothing copies over.  Just trying to figure out if I'm going to have to retype it.  Thanks.

Huh, that is bizarre! I pasted my story directly in from Word. I guess maybe try to save the story (write a line or two so you have text) then edit it and see if you can paste? You could also try pasting it into WordPad first, then re-pasting from there.

But yes, that is unusual. I just paste straight from Word.

So, it looks like it was a problem with Internet Explorer and the APIs that Wattpad uses.  I did it in Chrome and it worked just fine (and interestingly enough, there were a lot of buttons that hadn't been showing up, either.)

I'm fixing a few things, then I'll be posting my link.

Alright, done!  Much like Tebakutis, I invite anyone to read my story and point out anything that they find incorrect, dumb, or nonsensical.  You can read my story here:

I hope everyone enjoys!
