Online Book Tracking Software

Does anybody here use any online tools to help track their reading habits? I use wereads purely because of its current tie-in with facebook ( I like posting trash to my wall about books ); but i'm casting an eye about to see if there are any other better services out there?

GoodReads and Shelfari for me.

GoodReads will post to Facebook as well. I like Shelfari's interface a little better, but I really like the status updates for reading that GoodReads has. The discussion groups on GR seem to be better as well.

I love GoodReads - It completely feeds my ocd habit ^.^
I also have an excel catalogue document on my computer keeping track of different editions and if I borrow or lend out any books etc.

I think if people read a lot and borrow a lot of books from the library or others, then it can get hard to remember what you've read. Also some people like to know how many books they have/have read - I'm a bit obsessive about books I own and although I don't store or track them online I have my own catalogue on my computer
With things like goodreads too there's also a social aspect, you can leave and read reviews and find discussion groups and things.

I'm using Goodreads too to track my reading habits. I'm writing a short review for each book I've read so maybe in a few years time I can take a look back and see if I still agree with how I felt about the book.

Anyone else tried LibraryThing? I signed up, ported over a bunch of books, and then ignored it.

I do use Collectorz to catalog books (and, once the comic database is done for Macs, I'll get that one too). I'm a big, big fan. It has an online bit, but I've never really tried it... be curious if anyone else has! It is about £20, but there's a free trial... I did that and got suckered in for life.

No.

I tried one once. It wanted me to enter all of the books I've read. I'm 54 years old, have over 10,000 books in the house, have had a library card since I was seven, and can't even remember the names of all of the books I've owned and read. Besides, filling out the form would probably take me most of the next couple of years, and I've got more important things to do, like have a life

I used to have a card file, with a card for every book that I owned. I had to give that up when I hit a 1000 books, because it just wasn't feasible to do it anymore (that was pre-personal computer).

I'm using Goodreads too to track my reading habits. I'm writing a short review for each book I've read so maybe in a few years time I can take a look back and see if I still agree with how I felt about the book.

This is the number one reason why I started blogging about the books I have read. I know that my reviews are not great as compared to other bloggers, but really, they suit me just fine.

I use to GoodReads for keeping track of books read, and books that i want to read. Then I fell behind in keeping track; updating. Now, i am not certain what I should do. Update my account (grr...time needed to do this), ignore what i have not updated and move on, start a new account, stop using GR completely?? Those are my personal burning questions that I have been unable to answer.

In the meantime, I am use Google spreadsheet to keep track of books that I want to read; the books I come across this year as I just started this list.

I looked into Collectorz, thanks for the link. It looks neat. Do you find it hard to manage?  Do you use a scanner to input your books? If so, how do you like it?
