I guess the first step would be to work out how many entries each person has made, or at least how many the person with the most has, so we can decide how many levels there should be. That... could take some time.
Go on... you *know* you want to create an excel file for that ;D

I'm worryingly tempted to create a google doc that lists them all. Including the number of votes.

Alrighty then. Here it is. All the votes since the first contest in January 2011 compiled into one spreadsheet.

Total number of contestants: 220.
Total number of entries: 492.
Total number of contestants with more than one entry: 81.

@Elfy and @Carter are far and away the most prolific authors, with 19 apiece. @Elfy managed to enter 17 in a row between May 2014 and September 2015. @TOMunro, @Jmack, and myself & Saurus are the others with 10 or more. The trend that makes me happiest is that people who have entered recently seem a huge amount more likely to stick around and enter multiple times. I think that's credit to @xiagan for running such a great contest.

I've highlighted the winner(s) of each contest in green as well. Only 11 authors have won more than once:
3 times: @TOMunro, @Jmack, @ladygreen
2 times: @Rukaio_Alter, @Giddler, @simonster, @GZidar, @OnlyOneHighlander, Dan D Jones, @wishywash27, @Shanothaine

Interestingly, a total of 16 entrants with only one entry won the contest they entered.

I'll be surprised if there are no mistakes in there... and I think I'm going to go lie down now.

This is gonna need some more work.  :P
We need the themes added and the votes summed.  8)

But, THIS IS AWESOME fun!  ;D ;D

And somehow, @xiagan, we have to sticky this spreadsheet for further and future reference.  ;)

Done.

Votes get their own row (greyed out so they're easier to differentiate from the entries), themes are visible in a note popup when you click the month name. I also added the names of the winner(s) to that note.

Oh, and in case nobody noticed, the month (and a couple of the year) names are linked to the correct subforum. Working with spreadsheets is weirdly relaxing.

That is amazing but my phone screen just exploded :o
I imagine arguments being swallowed back, wine spit in glasses and gurgling up bottles. I imagine my ring sliding off my finger, Bobby's lips hot on mine for the first time again, and then unknown to me.

That's amazing, @Raptori, but how do you think I managed the contests without something like that? How should I have found out who is a new regular every month? ;)

Admittedly yours is way fancier and more complete. :)
I only had the entries and wins listed and I didn't start that early because the contest was quite erratic from time to time.

Yeah I assumed you had, but I think you mentioned only keeping records from when you started running the contest, and I wanted one right from the beginning.  :P

As someone who has been known to dabble in spreadsheets myself, @Raptori, I salute you.

And also much praise @xiagan as you say for running an excellent contest that keeps on drawing us writers back, I'm just sorry that dearth of muse and excess of day job mean I can't enter as often as I would like.  :)

(I hope I've got those link things right  :-\)
