Suggestions for my fantasy reading...
« on: February 21, 2014, 04:50:00 AM »
I just bought some fantasy books at a local bookstore. I tried to choose some classics and authors I recognized but I've never read any of these. Which do you think I should start first and what are some other major titles I should read by these authors and others? The books above are the ones I bought.

It would help if we knew what you bought. It's hard enough for me to read my wife's mind.

;D There's a poll at the top, it's not on his post hehe

Thing is, I haven't read them all, but the ones I know are all *so* different that without knowing what you like, it's hard to recommend...

I don't know about the first two, but out of the rest only Best Served Cold isn't part of a series (though is linked). Might be best to start with that one, then the commitment isnt as large!

Only read two of the above: Prince of Thorns and Game of Thrones.  Of the two at least the Prince of Thorns trilogy is finished!
