Can't see it in the list so now it is... Peter and Emma are signing at Forbidden planet Bristol 30th April if you didn't get a copy at Waterstones last night.

Oh, you did this thread! I told Peter I was going to ;D

Here's the cover: - argh I can't seem to find a smaller picture

And the blurb:

The Vagrant is his name. He has no other.
Years have passed since humanity’s destruction emerged from the Breach.
Friendless and alone he walks across a desolate, war-torn landscape.
As each day passes the world tumbles further into depravity, bent and twisted by the new order, corrupted by the Usurper, the enemy, and his infernal horde.
His purpose is to reach the Shining City, last bastion of the human race, and deliver the only weapon that may make a difference in the ongoing war.
What little hope remains is dying. Abandoned by its leader, The Seven, and its heroes, The Seraph Knights, the last defences of a once great civilisation are crumbling into dust.
But the Shining City is far away and the world is a very dangerous place.

When you pat the picture, use [url height=400

At the start of the url address. That will size a big picture down.

This has been on my to-read list since the cover reveal on F-F. Sounds like it could be a really interesting one.

I have an advance copy of The Vagrant and have just finished the first chapter...bloody hell is it good so far! Effortlessly dripping with atmosphere and theme. It's very rare for a novel to have me so invested right from the first few pages. Early days yet I suppose, but a seriously impressive first chapter.
Feels a bit like Fallout crossed with Lonewolf and Cub, with added demons. And that's a big win for me.

I found myself immersed in the story it is clever and startling and requires thought, it draws you in to the detail and at the end you realise how straightforward the story actually is. It is incredibly polished for a first book and I hope it does well.
