Title: Interviews with SFF writers in a "normal" newspaper
Post by: ScarletBea on July 23, 2020, 06:56:47 PM
Wow, a 'normal' newspaper interviewing a fantasy author?

Brandon Sanderson:

I wasn't aware that The way of kings was written ages ago, before he was famous...

Great article, thanks for the link! I knew that Sanderson wrote a lot of novels before Elantris got picked up (I listen to his Writing Excuses podcast, he talks very candidly about a lot of things, and I'm sure it came up in his lecture series which I've watched at least one version of) but I didn't realise Way of Kings was one of them. Really brings home that there's always hope for the trunked manuscript. :D

(I wonder if they got a new person for the Books section who's really into fantasy! :o )

On Rothfuss' elusive book 3...
