Competition : Can you write a 25 word novel?
« on: June 03, 2017, 05:04:32 AM »
Putting this link up in the hopes someone from our Forum can enter and win, but please follow through all further info and Terms and Conditions links because it says published authors cannot apply.  I am not sure how our Writing Contest stands in these cases. Please can you advise @xiagan ?

Competition closes 23.59 on 30 June 2017

Sounds great fun maybe we could do our own 25 word novels anyway.  ;D

Nah, that's not an issue. Your stories are published but you aren't published authors (mostly).

This sounds nuts. A bit perplexed by their use of the word "novel". It's a mega flash fiction story, not a novel, a thing defined by word length.
Anyways, no idea how to do anything interesting/useful in those few words. I don't think it's a very Sff friendly thing. No room for world building. Might have to consider a mini pitch for a normal fiction story...

Entered. Hope they accept it since there was no field to enter country. Only city name? Nothing in the terms and conditions though.

Anyway wish me luck ^^

so, of course i procrastinated on my wip (srsly.  with only two chapters left for the first draft) to take an hour this morning and sketch something up for this contest.

now, all i need is a clever title.  who wants to help me with that?

edit:

Do you want to post it here, so we could give title suggestions?
Or do the discord thing, hehe?

I think it might be best not to throw it into the open on the forum since it's for a competition?

25 words? No. But perhaps a couple of pictures?
