Check he is planning on taking you back as well.
What is it that attracts you to our past its prime little nation. The bad weather, worse food, urban decay or the quaint locals?

I live in Augusta, Georgia, but I grew up in Londonderry, New Hampshire. I've lived all over the US - Monterrey, California, Tennessee/Kentucky, Texas, Washington DC area, and Mannheim, Germany. Oh, and Hawaii - a pleasant time  ;D

I'll give this a go, too. I live in East Texas just under a two hour drive southeast of Dallas. (I should know because my wife is from the Metroplex. That was a fun courtship ;D.)
