Well hello there

I've been visiting this site for years, didn't realize it also had a forum until a few days ago. So I thought I'd join and introduce myself.

My pen name is Pemry Janes, I'm from the Netherlands, and I'm a big fan of fantasy. Looking forward to getting to know people around here.

Don't use facebook, so no. Like I said, I discovered the site a long time ago so I don't remember how I found it.

My favorite author, that's a tough one and it changes from week to week. Must I be limited to one person?

Well, I got to mention Robert Jordan since I'm rereading the Wheel of Time right now. Haven't read enough Sanderson to include him, still have to to read the Stormlight Archives.

Raymond E. Feist, his early work, especially the Empire trilogy he wrote with Janny Wurts.

Got to mention Terry Pratchett & Jim Butcher.

And I almost forgot Robin Hobb.

isos, isos, isos *shakes head* just when I thought you knew me! Of the above, I've only read Hobb and Pratchett, and he doesn't mention my favourites :P

I know you’ve read a Butcher short and I think you read a Sanderson novella too.

I’m going to chance it and say you would probably enjoy the Empire trilogy wouldn’t she @xiagan

I'd certainly recommend it. It can be read without reading the Riftwar Trilogy too.

Pemry, I came across the name in a book on the invasion of Crete during WOII. Janes, close to Janus, a roman god I've always had a bit of fascination for.

And, coincidentally, the initials match those of my real name.
