Jason here, been using the site for book recommendations when I run out of ideas on what to read and then lurking on the forums when I'm bored. Figured it was about time I got round to making an account, although I've got no idea how often I'll post/how consistent I'll be with my visits  ;)

Currently working my way through the Malazan series, on book 7 at the moment. Big fan of Asoiaf, the Feist books, Mark Lawrence (whom I found through this site), Brent Weeks (Dark Angels trilogy) among various others (can't remember everyone off the top of my head and I'm basically too lazy to run upstairs and look  ::)).

Not sure what else to mention so I guess I'll leave it at that for now  :P

Hello! After a bit of lurking, I thought it was time I introduced myself. As my only other post will attest, I am an avid fan of Terry Pratchett, among many more fantasy and other writers. Currently reading The Rebirths of Tao by Wesley Chu. I also write fantasy books of my own in my spare time :)

Howdy @JustLie. Is that Just Lie, or Justly?  ;D
Glad for another lurker un-lurking. Welcome to the light.
But the question: poodles or powerful goat gods?

I like it to keep my name ambiguous  ;-P
Powerful goat poodles, maybe? Never trust gods!

(please don't kill me with your goat powers!)

Welcome JustLie join the fun, see you are skilled in diplomacy, but when you appease alliances remember dragons could trump goats and poodles...........

Well, seems the goat-dragon-poodle war is far from over yet  :)
One day they'll remember it as a War of the Roses-esque piece of history with backstabbing, conspiracy and epic warfare.

Welcome to Fantasy Faction.

Will anyone remember the pirates Bring back the Fanasy Faction RPG this time with added poodles

Here is an example from the last RPG:

Quote from: Hound
Suddenly the doors flew open, and the Hound strode in dragging a figure tied up in a sack behind him.  Deftly the Hound cut the sack free revealing a disheveled figure.  "Right, world's greatest writer since Tolkien, here is a willing audiences who want to spend the night being regaled with stories of your fantastical magical kingdom."
"Really" the figure smiled "Right folks, here begins a 70k word adventure!"
"Enjoy" the Hound chuckles, "And by the way pirates, over in the other tavern Mark Lawrence is sitting in the corner reading extracts from King of Thorns, also I'm not Scottish, so I pay a hell of a lot better".

With that the Hound marched out, chuckling to himself.

Quote from: Lor
Lor got to her feet, albeit a little unsteadily, and slammed her tankard onto the wood, watching it topple and roll off. Then she looked around the room, spotting some guardsmen loitering near the bar.

"You! You need to arrest this" she nudged the figure on the floor with her toe. "For crimes against being a decent human being." She moved off towards the door, fists clenched. "I've got a pirate to deal with."

Oh dear, sounds like I will have to wait for a dragon with a poodle haircut, nifty pirate hat on and a goatee to unite the realm..

But isn't that easy to deal with? Just chuck The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch at it. ;D

Welcome!
